The Hill Country at sunset

Welcome to the Mountain

Go home better than you came.

A member sighting in his rifle at golden hour on the mountain

Packsaddle Precision is a private shooting club on a 2,000-acre mountain in the Texas Hill Country, about an hour from Austin.

It all starts with the rifle. The range runs out to roughly 3,750 yards, with covered shooting decks and target cameras, and instruction is led by Army Special Forces and Ranger veterans. From there, members branch into carbine, pistol, and fieldcraft, and travel together on hunting trips around the world.

Behind all of it is one idea: people are happier and more capable when they spend real time outside, getting good at hard things.
